This steel drafting table is solid and well built. While most inferior drafting tables are made of pre-fabricated, light-weight sheet metal, this particular drafting table is made from a 2" thick, 18 gauge steel tubing. (The same used in most mountain bikes). The entire frame is powder-coated to make the drafting table scratch resistant, and paint flake-proof.

In addition to being solid, the table is also very flexible. Its table can adjust to 37" high, and the drafting top can incline from 0 degrees to 45 degrees.

The drafting table also comes with a large, locking tool drawer measuring 23" by 8" by 3-1/2", and a plan file drawer measuring 23" by 31" by 1-1/2". The tool drawer is perfect for holding pencils, pens, and straightedges, while the plan file is big enough to hold drawings, drafts, or blueprints flat for easy storage. Both drawer are equipped with ball-bearing slides to help the tool drawer move swiftly, smoothly, and easily in and out.

• Legs are welded together to form an extra joint for stability and rigidity by the means of a 3" x 2" post.
• The metal on this drafting table is scratch resistant and coated in a medium gray finish. The finish is an electro-static powder coat.
• All wood pieces (including the drawing board on the table top and its supporting panels) are made of therma-fuse melamine and are 3/4" thick.
• The board top measures 37-1/2" x 60" x 3/4" thick.
• The smooth drawing surface is made of a durable white matte Melamine that lies flat and smooth, and trimmed and surrounded by black vinyl edges.
• Comes with a large tool drawer under the drawing surface measuring 23" x 8" x 3-1/2" thick.
• Also comes with a reference drawer measuring 23" x 31" x 1-1/2" for storage of any other plans, drawings, or materials.
• Ball-bearing slides help the tool drawer move swiftly in and out.
